Dear Sir or Madam,
I have had the pleasure of working closely with Holden Sondergeld over the past year in my capacity of Head Librarian for The Blade.
During that time, Holden was appointed manager of The Blade Vault, which coordinates with The Blade Library to produce reprints of historic photos, articles and pages.In supervising his usage of the archives, I have noticed that Holden is a reliable and conscientious employee.
He has excellent organization and problem-solving skills and displayed ability to develop new products for The Blade Vault.After Holden assumed management of the Vault, he focused on improving efficiency and customer service.
Within hours, he streamlined the ordering system using tools available in Google Drive.His innovation provides easy coordination between The Blade Library and the Vault to allow short turnaround of orders and resultant improvement in customer service.
In addition, Holden developed a new product, The Vault Selections. He creates monthly photo display pieces featuring Blade photography of local landmarks.
Most recently, Holden redesigned the Vault’s website, giving it a modern aesthetic and making it easier for customers to navigate.
I believe Holden’s ability to achieve so much quickly can be attributed to his excellent critical thinking skills.
When Holden makes a recommendation, one can be certain has considered all relevant facets of the issue.His contributions to the Vault are more impressive when one considers he divides his work week between The Vault and editorial department duties.
His other duties include, posting to the Blade’s website as a web editor, designing the Sunday Health & Wellness section and creating posters and graphics for the news & sports departments.In short, Holden is adaptable and creative. I believe he would be an asset to any organization.
